INFLUENCE OF TEACHING IN LEARNING METHOD OF QUANTITATIVE METHODS IN THE COURSE OF ACCOUNTING UFRN

Resumo: The current market requires accounting professionals able to assist managers in making decisions, and quantitative methods a fundamental tool for the development of relevant information, however, according to Quirino (2010), the students of the University Accounting Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), the campus Christmas present limitations for using these methods in the professional field. The present study aims to investigate the reason for the poor performance of students in curricular component quantitative methods for analyzing the questionnaires answered by 139 students from 5th to 9th period, using the nonparametric method, using the chi-square . The analysis reveals that student performance is influenced by the connection among the methods and possibilities of application in different areas of accounting, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinarity in teaching and learning.   Keywords: Quantitative methods. Learning.El mercado actual requiere profesionales de la contabilidad que puedan ayudar a los administradores en la toma de decisiones y los métodos cuantitativos en una herramienta fundamental para el desarrollo de la información relevante, sin embargo, de acuerdo con Quirino (2010), los estudiantes de la Universidad de Contabilidad Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), las limitaciones actuales del campus de Navidad para el uso de estos métodos en el campo profesional. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo investigar la razón de los malos resultados de los estudiantes en los componentes curriculares métodos cuantitativos para el análisis de los cuestionarios respondidos por 139 alumnos de quinto a noveno periodo, utilizando el método no paramétrico, utilizando el chi-cuadrado . El análisis revela que el rendimiento de los alumnos se ve influida por la conexión entre los métodos y posibilidades de aplicación en diferentes áreas de contabilidad, haciendo hincapié en la importancia de la interdisciplinariedad en la enseñanza y el aprendizaje. Palabras clave: Los métodos cuantitativos. El aprendizaje.O mercado atual exige profissionais da área contábil aptos a auxiliar os gestores nas tomadas de decisões, sendo os métodos quantitativos um instrumento fundamental para a elaboração de informações relevantes. No entanto, segundo Quirino (2010), os alunos do Curso de Ciências Contábeis da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), do campus de Natal, apresentam limitações para utilização destes métodos no campo profissional. O presente estudo tem como objetivo investigar o motivo do baixo desempenho dos alunos no componente curricular métodos quantitativos, por meio da análise dos questionários respondidos por 139 alunos do 5º ao 9º período, empregando-se o método não paramétrico, através do teste qui-quadrado. A análise revela que o desempenho dos alunos é influenciado pela ligação entre os métodos estudados e as possibilidades de aplicação nas diversas áreas da contabilidade, destacando a importância da interdisciplinaridade no processo de ensino-aprendizagem.
