Resumo: | The Essays of Michel de Montaige claims for justice in a social contract. His work are not among the mainstream of political theory, as it have to be, neither in a contratualist light. As much as we know, as much as we read about the Essays, we realize that is wrong. First, we argue that he has clearly a state of nature of human been. The second section shows and argues what can be called a social contrat, based on the idea of decomposing, where the State and sovereign appears by the human imperfection, and never by the perfection, throughout a skeptical reason. Finally, the contradictions at his time makes him claim for a dialogue which stress the public idea of moderation and traditional institutions. Key-words: Essays; Skepticism; Decomposing; Social contract |
