Resumo: | Conceived as a set of incommensurable circumstances for the human rational faculty, but singularized in the incarnate Jesus, Pascal’s conception of history displays some aspects which indicate that his writings are linked to theological perspectives of “grace" and “original sin”, as well as to the anthropological definitions of “reason" and “human nature”. This context shows that the finite and limited content of human knowledge could be a result of divinity’s infinitude and, thus, an intrinsic and inescapable element of Creation. Therefore, this present article aims to explain the importance of the historical issue according to Blaise Pascal and how it is worked out in his writings. |

Therefore, this present article aims to explain the importance of the historical issue according to Blaise Pascal and how it is worked out in his writings.
