Resumo: The work of the philologist must be circumscribed between art and science, this is what teaches us the analysis of the method and scope of philology according to Auerbach. To deepen this, we will analyze the way and the meaning through which this scholar situates his audience within a given world situation. After the circumscription of the privilege of philology in the midst of the humanities, we will point to the discussion around perspectivism. In contrast to this, we will highlight the damage that motivates philology to believe that only the word would be a bearer of thoughts and that the philologist of the word would be a privileged mediator.

Para profundizar en esto, analizaremos la forma y el significado a través del cual este erudito sitúa a su audiencia dentro de una situación mundial determinada. Después de la circunscripción del privilegio de la filología en medio de las humanidades, señalaremos la discusión sobre el perspectivismo. Por el contrario, destacaremos el daño que motiva al filólogo profesional a creer que sólo la palabra sería portadora de pensamientos y que sería un mediador privilegiado.O trabalho do filólogo deve ser circunscrito entre arte e ciência, é isto que nos ensina a análise do método e do escopo da filologia de Auerbach. Para aprofundar isto, analisaremos o modo e o sentido através do qual este estudioso situa seu público no interior de uma determinada situação mundial. Depois da circunscrição do privilégio da filologia em meio às humanidades, apontaremos para a discussão em torno do perspectivismo.
