Resumo: This article presents the story of the development of an educational campaign on the Zika virus, developed at the Municipal School Libanio France Maciel, Rural Municipality of Dantas-PB well with students of 1st and 2nd year on the need for information about the disease, the mosquito Aedes Aegypte (transmitter of the disease), and how to prevent it, since this issue is part of the community of the reality in which they live. During the research was based on an observational qualitative methodology participants noted how the use of different media could contribute to the successful implementation of the campaign, as well as for the development of the learning process. The combat campaign to Zika Zero promoted the articulation of different areas of knowledge, addressing issues of everyday life, and to explore various literary genres, and especially cultural aspects that influence the training of individuals in the community. Students, project protagonists, actively participated in all stages, also promoting the dissemination of the work. We conclude that it is possible to improve the quality of educational work, when the teacher takes advantage and uses the media that the school offers, enabling students to develop skills, and critical thinking. The more dynamic and interactive for the job, the better the involvement of students in the activities proposed by the teacher and will be more meaningful learning.

The more dynamic and interactive for the job, the better the involvement of students in the activities proposed by the teacher and will be more meaningful learning.Este artigo apresenta o relato do desenvolvimento de uma campanha educativa sobre o Zika vírus, desenvolvida na Escola Municipal Libanio de França Maciel, Zona Rural do Município de Poço Dantas-PB, com alunos do 1º e 2º ano, diante a necessidade de se obter informações sobre a doença, o mosquito Aedes Aegypte (transmissor da doença), e as formas de prevenção, uma vez que tal problema faz parte da realidade da comunidade em que estão inseridos. Durante a pesquisa que se baseou em uma metodologia qualitativa observacional participantes foi observado como o uso de diferentes mídias poderiam contribuir para o sucesso da implementação da campanha, bem como para o desenvolvimento do processo ensino aprendizagem. A campanha de combate ao Zika Zero promoveu a articulação de diversas áreas do conhecimento, abordando questões da vida cotidiana, além de serem explorados gêneros literários diversos, e principalmente aspectos culturais que influenciam na formação dos indivíduos na comunidade. Os alunos, protagonistas do projeto, participaram ativamente de todas as etapas, promovendo também a divulgação do trabalho. Conclui-se que é possível melhorar a qualidade do trabalho educativo, quando o professor aproveita e utiliza as mídias de que a escola dispõe, possibilitando aos educandos desenvolverem habilidades, e reflexões críticas.
