Resumo: The construction industry has a huge share of GDP (Brazilian GDP) and is responsible for generating many jobs, so it must always remain stable, ensuring the country's growth. On the other hand, the sector is one of the ones that generate the greatest amount of waste and is one of the most responsible for accidents in Brazil. With increasingly competitive trading, entrepreneurs begin to stick to the need to invest in deploying streamlined methodologies in their companies in order to reduce their costs and increase productivity resulting in a profit maximization because the lack of attention management, and the lack of control over execution, which is often left to a disqualified workforce, translates into poor quality and delays in the work, and this will be transferred to the value end of the project. However, despite the rationalized methodologies that emerged in the twentieth century after World War II, in recent years they have influenced the planning of construction companies. In this paper, we will present some rationalized methodologies applied to the civil engineering sector, which are: Lean Production, Toyota Production System, Just In Time, Kanban, System 5 S and PERT / CPM Network.
