Rio de Janeiro: UFRN/ANPPOM, 2005.A partir de uma pesquisa bibliográfica e reflexão sobre aspectos concernentes à etnomusicologia, este trabalho busca discutir o processo de percepção e grafia dos fenômenos observados e tratados por essa área de conhecimento. Acreditamos que a busca de uma melhor percepção e interpretação na etnomusicologia esbarra em fatores como os procedimentos mentais de apreensão da informação que requerem um constante renovar dos nossos sentidos influenciando o reconhecimento da “realidade” daquilo que nossa percepção nos apresenta. Entendemos que a observação, percepção, compreensão e grafia na pesquisa etnomusicológica trafegam por caminhos de múltiplas padronizações da informação e in- terpretações da realidade, onde uma melhor abordagem na interpretação pode oferecer re- sultados significativos na elaboração do conhecimento. É nosso consenso que uma aborda gem que considere o sujeito pesquisado como interlocutor do trabalho é significativa porque propicia uma maior abrangência dos conhecimentos da cultura pesquisada. ABSTRACT: Starting from a bibliographical research and reflection on aspects concerning ethno-musicology, this work intends to discuss the perception process and ethnography of the phenomena observed and talked about in that area. We believe that the getting a better perception and interpretation in the ethnomusicology bumps into factors like the mental procedures of apprehension of the information that request a constant renewing of our senses influencing the recognition of the "reality" of what our perception presents us. We understand that the observation, perception, understanding and orthography in the ethno musicological research move towards multiple standardizations of the information and interpretations of the reality, where a better approach in the interpretation can offer signi- ficant results in the elaboration of the knowledge.
