With the trade and financial liberalization in the 80s there is a financialization process this perspective agents are in pursuit of appreciation of its capital is in the productive sphere or financial. This study aims to determine whether a transfer is occurring process of productive investment to speculative in Brazil thereby contributing to the occurrence of deindustrialization process in the country. Therefore, we used the exploratory research in order to verify through quantitative and qualitative analysis the occurrence of this process. In recent years there has been an increased debate about deindustrialization in Brazil, due to the sharp drop in share of industry in value added, before that, we work with the hypothesis of the occurrence of deindustrialization from the standpoint of speculative capital, using macroeconomic tools such as: the flow of investments, interest rate, foreign exchange and share of industry in GDP to accept the hypothesis. Before the data analysis, it appears that the fall of the share of industry in value added was the result of government policies aimed at controlling inflation by raising interest rates. Thus, capital inflow into the country is attracted by high interest mainly speculative, thus contributing to the intensification of the process of deindustrialization in Brazil.
