The construction industry has been increasing its participation in the economy today and facing problems regarding waste generation and its inadequate final disposal. In order to mitigate this problem and facilitate the management of construction waste (CCW), there is a need to prepare a Civil Construction Waste Management Plan (CCWMP) that meets the requirements of current legislation and that there is a execution. Thus, this study aimed to conduct a compliance audit to evaluate the CCWMP of the Brain Institute (BI), located at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (FURN), Campus Central in Natal / RN. Through a bibliographic survey, questionnaire application and technical visits to the work, it was possible to make an evaluation of the management situation in comparison to the current Brazilian legislation, the current scenario of management of the work in relation to the actions foreseen in its CCWMP, and the proposition of improvements for the nonconformities found. Due to all the analyzes carried out, the results indicate that the CCWMP executed in BI work presented some non-conformities in relation to the Brazilian legislation in force, which lead to greater generation and waste of raw material, high financial costs and pollution from soil.
