The quilombo community Boa Vista dos Negros have been located in the vicinity of the city of Parelhas -RN, in the last years, object of research on different areas of knowledge. On this work, focused on the education area, the community in question goes through a reading from the analysis of the testimony of its own members and more specifically for children and young people as they bring the community and their customs, behaviors , opinions and life stories to the classroom at the meeting with the teaching material that they face in the process of teaching and learning. On this way, this work presents information and analysis of the speeches of children and youth of this quilombo , reflecting about their understanding as a student , political being and participatory construction on stereotypes , prejudices and exclusions initially present in textbooks used by them in room class and in other social relations developed in their school routine.
