Resumo: Shared Guardianship presents itself as a particularly new juridical innovation within Family Law, fruit of a long sequence of breaks and innovations in the field of judicial protection to the nuclear family. Therefore, it is valid to trace a progression of the changes, not only in legislation but social and dogmatic values as well, which constitute a healthy bed for its origin and the reorganization of the values of Family Law with the protection of minors as a central element around which its entire system gravitates, as well as the leading elements of the applications of Shared Guardianship in said minor’s benefit.
