The graduating finish work proposes the design of a shelter for abandoned pets in the city of Natal, aiming to promote a service that the city lacks. The problems of neglect and ill-treatment goes beyond the frontiers of suffering and cruelty to animals, as they generate a sequence of negative issues related to public health, overpopulation control and urban accidents. The lack of specialized centers in the work of collecting and treating abandoned domestic animals, coupled with the deficiency of existing NGOs in promoting a space of well-being for the animals recruited, brings the relevance of proposing something related to this theme in our region. The main objectives of this project are to understand the specific needs in the treatment and shelter of dogs and cats and to seek formal references for the proposed building through bibliographic review and case studies.
