Resumo: This work consists of a preliminary public school project for the city of Parnamirim / RN. The pedagogical approach of the school is based on the Bridge School in Portugal, without disregarding the specificities of Brazilian society. The School of Bridge is a Portuguese school world reference in the area of education for applying innovative methods that have shown great results and achieved a positive evaluation from the Portuguese Ministry of Education. The method is based on giving greater autonomy to the student through a system of tutoring and learning based on principles of responsibility, autonomy, group relationships, among others. Faced with the high rate of evasion in primary education in Brazil, it is understood that it is necessary to think about Brazilian schools with non-traditional pedagogical systems and design an architecture that will dialogue with these systems. Thus, this work aims to design a school that brings improvements in education by creating flexible spaces and that are consistent with an alternative pedagogical approach. In order to succeed on these objectives, bibliographical references on the history and characteristics of this humanistic, non-traditional pedagogy and, furthermore, a profound study on the School of the Bridge and its methods, intending to understand what is the relation between architecture and pedagogy in these schools. Studies on direct and indirect references were also carried out, through virtual research and visits to local schools. Data analysis selection of the land and preparation of the Metaproject. The final proposal resulted in a dynamic and attractive environment that will offer educational, recreational and sporting benefits to students and community as a whole.

A abordagem pedagógica da escola se baseia no modelo Humanista, como o adotado na Escola da Ponte em Portugal, sem desconsiderar as especificidades da sociedade brasileira. A Escola da Ponte é uma escola portuguesa referência mundial na área da educação por uso de métodos inovadores que tem mostrado bons resultados dos alunos nas avaliações do Ministério da Educação de Portugal. O método consiste em dar maior autonomia ao aluno por meio de um sistema de tutoria e aprendizado baseados em princípios de responsabilidade, autonomia, relacionamento em grupo, dentre outros. Diante do alto índice de evasão escolar no ensino fundamental do Brasil, entende-se que se faz necessário pensar em escolas brasileiras com sistemas pedagógicos não tradicionais e projetar uma arquitetura que dialogue com esses sistemas. Assim, objetiva-se projetar uma escola que traga melhorias na educação por meio de espaços flexíveis que dialoguem com uma abordagem pedagógica alternativa. Para isso, foram feitos estudos bibliográficos sobre a história e características dessa pedagogia humanista e, posteriormente, um além do aprofundamento sobre a Escola da Ponte e seus métodos, a fim de compreender como se dá a relação entre arquitetura e pedagogia nessas escolas. Estudos de referências diretos e indiretos também foram realizados, por meio de pesquisa virtual e visita a escolas locais. Análise dos dados coletados, escolha do terreno e elaboração do Metaprojeto.
