Resumo: This article treat of the brazilian family law in the scenery of liquid modernity, subject covered by the sociologist Zygmunt Bauman. Using bibliographic search, will be the analysis of the historical, social and cultural changes that the concept of family has over the decades and for which is still affected. In family law it is where you can see more clearly the consequences of liquid-modern society. Marriage and fatherhood, finally, the family entities are in continuous and rapid transformation that are not always accompanied by the right and they are being governed by the principle of affectivity.

Usando a pesquisa bibliográfica, será feita a análise das mudanças históricas, sociais e culturais pelas quais o conceito de família passou no decorrer das décadas e pelas quais continua sendo afetado. No direito de família é onde se podem perceber mais claramente as consequências da sociedade líquido-moderna.
