Resumo: The increase in life expectancy makes the topic “ageing population” even more popular, calling attention to the needs of the elderly. Because of that, this final graduate work (Trabalho Final de Graduação) pursuits to join two portions of population with different ages that can contribute to the well-being and development of each other. They are children and the elderly. In this way, this paper looked to watch the aging population in a satisfactory way, from the architecture and social relations points of views through the development of an architecture proposition. The architectural project consists in an intergenerational center that attends seniors totally independents and children from the age 3 to 12, to share experiences and learning at an harmonious and healthy living space. The Intergenerational center will be located in Cidade Alta, Natal/RN and will have the the principles of universal design as guide elements.

Diante disso, neste Trabalho Final de Graduação (TFG) buscou-se privilegiar as relações pessoais, unindo duas parcelas da população com idades diversas, mas que juntas podem contribuir para o bem-estar e desenvolvimento uma da outra. São elas: idosos e crianças. Assim, buscou-se assistir a população envelhecida de modo satisfatório, do ponto de vista arquitetônico e das relações sociais, por meio do desenvolvimento de uma proposta arquitetônica, em nível de anteprojeto, de um centro intergeracional que atendesse idosos funcionalmente independentes e crianças na faixa etária de 3 a 12 anos, para compartilharem experiências e aprendizado em um espaço de convivência harmônico e saudável.
