The present work has as main objective to perform a for reflexion on the musical work of Chico Buarque de Holanda in relation to Brazil after coup of 1964, analyzing the vision that the composer had on the country, and as he was already arguing in their songs. For this reason, we will do the analysis of two compositions "Marcha para um dia de sol" and "A Banda". We will use six books, three of biographical (ZAPPA, HOMEM e SILVA) content, as also four theses for footing our research. We will use six books, three of biographical content (ZAPPA 2011, HOMEM 2009 and SILVA 2004), as also ten jobs (PIMENTEL 2011, DEL VECCHIO 2013, NAPOLITANO 2001, SOUSA 2012, MENDES 2003, MARTINS 2005, MATOS 2011, ROSA 2008, PINA 2008 and CAVALCANTI 2003), footing for our research. We will talk about the work that has already been published on Chico Buarque, we will have a summary of his biography by mid-1967, as well as the ambiguities contained in the two songs analyzed.
