STRATEGY AND BUSINESS INTERNATIONALIZATION LEVEL OF POLYMERS MANUFACTURING

Resumo: The internationalization strategies are gaining prominence in the business environment, since the current phase of globalization, increased competition, the pace for innovation and opening new markets are impacting directly on the performance of companies in its market. Thus, this article aims to identify the strategies and the degree of internationalization of processors polymers of Southern Santa Catarina. The research was characterized as descriptive as to the purposes and literature and a multi case study as the research facilities. To collect data, we used qualitative content analysis technique, through a in-depth interview with the support of a semi-structured. It was found that the international insertion occurred interest of the foreign market for marketed products, with no strategic planning, and that companies are in the initial degree of internationalization, making exports directly and indirectly. Companies would expand its operations in the international market with a strategic plan with its exports in order to conquer new markets, since they have the resources and capabilities that make them possible be competitive and still get more international success.

Neste sentido, este artigo tem por objetivo identificar as estratégias e o grau de internacionalização das empresas transformadoras de polímeros do Sul de Santa Catarina. A pesquisa caracterizou-se como descritiva quanto aos fins e bibliográfica e um estudo multicaso quanto aos meios de investigação. Para a coleta de dados utilizou-se a técnica qualitativa com análise de conteúdo, por meio de uma entrevista em profundidade com apoio de um roteiro semiestruturado. Verificou-se que a inserção internacional ocorreu por interesse do mercado externo aos produtos comercializados, não havendo nenhum planejamento estratégico, e que as empresas se encontram no grau inicial do processo de internacionalização, efetuando exportações de forma direta e indireta.
