Resumo: | Beef is a major component of Brazilian food consumption has followed this man over the years. The need and the definition of product since its purchase vary from person to person, and so the question: what are the determinants of the decision to purchase beef in Northern Amazon? To answer this question we used theoretical and empirical research and cross section, analyzing the data quantitatively through the application of questionnaires to 300 respondents. The collected data were analyzed in a descriptive and inferential, performing correlations, and factor analysis of variance. It was observed that consumers of beef Northern Amazonia are characterized by youth, for natural northern, middle and high income, highly educated and relatively small families, these are influenced in their buying decision process especially by outside information and options for existing products; attributes like taste, tenderness and appearance of meat, pegged the cost benefits are the main determinants of purchase outstanding. It was noted that first meat consumption grows as family income and the second is characteristic of families with lower incomes, as well as the valuation of cost-benefit ratio increases with the age of the consumer. Studies like this are relevant to academia and will aid managers, for those who do awaken a different look about consumption, allowing the construction of a new view of the subject. |

Studies like this are relevant to academia and will aid managers, for those who do awaken a different look about consumption, allowing the construction of a new view of the subject.
