Resumo: The objective of the present research was to compare different techniques of irrigation scheduling. The experiment was conducted in 2012 on the premises of SIPA (Integrated Agroecological Production System), located in Serop?dica, state of Rio de Janeiro. The cultivation of lettuce was developed in a randomized complete blocks design with four treatments randomized in six replicates, totalizing 24 plots. The treatments consisted of four different managements of irrigation, characterized by the use of automatic irrigation device in two unevenness of pressostate (0.90 m and 1.20 m), Irrigas? system and Class A pan. It were evaluated data of temperature and air humidity, soil moisture, irrigation depth, water use efficiency and crop productivity, beyond production variables - fresh and dry weight of shoot, head height and diameter, leaf area. The production variables studied were subjected to analysis of variance using the F test. Data analysis showed that there wasn?t significant difference between the production variables evaluated and the irrigation depth did not differ significantly between treatments; although differences have been observed in the frequency of irrigation among the treatments had no irrigation schedule pre-established, it is not possible to establish a fixed interval of days to describe them. The data water use efficiency in the treatment Class A pan, AAI90 (9kPa), Irrigas?, AAI120 (12kPa), (241,4; 217,9; 205,5; 267,1 kg ha-1 mm-1, respectively) as well as for crop yield (32,80; 28,86; 28,80; 35,45 ton ha-1), are close to the values commonly found in the literature for lettuce varieties from the same study group. Thus it is concluded based on direct responses obtained from crops, all management methodologies evaluated were effective for growing lettuce, although they showed marked differences regarding the operation, which could be a deciding factor in choosing the farmer by what methodology to use.?

O experimento foi conduzido em 2012, nas instala??es do SIPA (Sistema Integrado de Produ??o Agroecol?gica), localizado no munic?pio de Serop?dica-RJ. O cultivo da alface foi desenvolvido em delineamento experimental de blocos ao acaso (DBC), com 4 tratamentos casualizados em 6 blocos, totalizando 24 parcelas experimentais. Os tratamentos constitu?ram-se por quatro diferentes manejos da irriga??o, caracterizados pelo uso de um acionador artesanal de baixo custo para irriga??o (AAI) em 2 tens?es distintas de ?gua no solo (9kPa e 12kPa), sistema Irrig?s? e tanque Classe A. Foram avaliados dados de temperatura e umidade do ar, umidade do solo, l?mina aplicada, efici?ncia no uso da ?gua e produtividade da cultura, al?m das vari?veis de produ??o: massa fresca e massa seca da parte a?rea, di?metro e altura da cabe?a, ?rea foliar de cada planta. As vari?veis de produ??o estudadas foram submetidas ? an?lise de vari?ncia utilizando o teste F. A an?lise dos dados demonstrou que n?o houve diferen?a significativa entre as vari?veis de produ??o avaliadas e, as l?minas aplicadas n?o diferiram de forma expressiva entre os tratamentos; muito embora tenha se observado diferen?as na frequ?ncia da irriga??o, entre os tratamentos que n?o tinham turno de rega pr?-estabelecido; n?o sendo poss?vel estabelecer um intervalo fixo de dias para descrev?-los. Os dados de efici?ncia no uso da ?gua nos tratamentos Tanque, AAI90 (9kPa), Irrig?s, AAI120 (12kPa); (241,4; 217,9; 205,5; 267,1 kg ha-1 mm-1, respectivamente) assim como, para produtividade da cultura (32,80; 28,86; 28,80; 35,45 ton ha-1), est?o pr?ximos ? valores comumente encontrados na literatura para variedades de alface do mesmo grupo em estudo.
