Observaram-se alterações morfológicas das pupas formadas em todos os tratamentos u t i l i z a d o s

It is described the experimental methods and it's use in the study of letal effect on flies as well as the residual a c t i v i t y in c a t t l e , horse and animal f a c i l i t i e s . Natural pyrethrins and the following synthetic pyrethroids: alphamethrin, cypermethrin high cis, decamethrin, fenvalerate, fluvalinate, FMC 63428, FMC 49655, FMC 57508, FMC 41752, FMC 45724 and San 811, were studied. Combination of pyrethroids with the organophosphate DDVP, polivinyl acetate (PVAC) and the compound amitraz were also t e s t e d . Cattle kept on pastures and treated with cypermethrin high cis by spraying and alphamethrin pour on showed a longer residual effect than other compounds, regarding control of Stomoxys calcitrans, with a mortality rate > 95%, up to the 16th day after treatment. The residual activity of the pyrethroids against Musca domestica were shorter than against Stomoxys x x i . calcitrans, with an average of only 2 days, with exception of the treatment with alphamethrin pour on, which ranged from 6 to 8 days. The repelence effect of alphamethrin to Stomoxys calcitrans was studied in cattle treated by spraying and using the method of observation in screen stable and it showed a detected residual effect up to 22 days after treatment. Spraying of animal facilities with alphamethrin showed higher and longer a c t i v i t y on wood than in c o n c r e t e s u r f a c e s . The use of insect juvenile hormone analogs in feed of pigs were studied for the control of Musca domestica. Observaram-se alterações morfológicas das pupas formadas em todos os tratamentos u t i l i z a d o s
