Resumo: The objective of this study was to obtain evidence of validity of criterion and convergent validity between three phonological awareness instruments, namely, the Roteiro de Avalia??o da Consci?ncia Fonol?gica (RACF), the Prova de Consci?ncia Fonol?gica por Produ??o Oral (PCFO) and Consci?ncia Fonol?gica: Instrumento de Avalia??o Sequencial (CONFIAS). Alongside this, we tried to highlight the instruments in which the children presented better and worse results; to identify any differences between the children assessed in terms of gender, school year and age; to verify the intensity of the correlation of TDE ? Leitura, the instruments of evaluation of the Phonological Consciousness and its subtests; and to verify if the children that present good results in the instruments of evaluation of the Phonological Consciousness also present good results in the TDE - Leitura. Although phonological awareness is pointed out in several researches as one of the precursor abilities to acquire reading and writing, and a successful evaluation of this ability can indicate to the teachers and professionals of the area any difficulties of the students in this learning, it is verified that Brazil lacks a reflection on the instruments that already exist, above all, a work that presents evidence of validity and the convergence indexes between instruments. There are studies that indicate evidence of validity between the RACF and the PCFO, however these analyzes do not contemplate the CONFIAS. This is where the present study is inserted, since we add to the validity analyzes already existing between the two instruments (RACF and PCFO) the evidence of validity of the CONFIAS, and verify if there is validity of criterion in the three instruments and of convergence between the instruments ( RACF, PCFO and CONFIAS). A total of 131 children, both sexes, between 6 and 8 years of age, attending the 1st to 3rd year of elementary school in a municipal school in Serop?dica - RJ participated in the study. The results showed that there is validity of concurrent criterion in the three instruments, both for school year, both for reading ability, and convergent validity among them, being the relationship of greater intensity between the PCFO and the CONFIAS. We verified that the easiest and most difficult instrument for our sample, respectively, was the RACF, which proved to be a screening tool, and PCFO, which proved to be an instrument that discriminates only skilled readers. There were differences between the sexes only in the RACF and in the sub-test of rhyme identification of the CONFIAS, in which the girls presented better results and all the instruments discriminated the children by school year and by age. In addition, the phonological awareness instrument that obtained the best correlation with the reading was PCFO and the subtests that best correlated with reading were the phonemes. Finally, the children who presented the best performance in the instruments of evaluation of phonological awareness are the same ones that presented the best performance in the TDE - Leitura.

Ao lado disso, procurou-se destacar os instrumentos nos quais as crian?as apresentaram melhores e piores resultados; identificar eventuais diferen?as entre as crian?as avaliadas no que se refere ao sexo, ano escolar e idade; verificar a intensidade da correla??o entre o TDE - Leitura, os instrumentos de avalia??o da Consci?ncia Fonol?gica e seus subtestes; e averiguar se as crian?as que apresentam bons resultados nos instrumentos de avalia??o da Consci?ncia Fonol?gica tamb?m apresentam bons resultados no TDE Leitura. Embora a Consci?ncia Fonol?gica seja apontada em diversas pesquisas como uma das habilidades precursoras para a aquisi??o da leitura e da escrita, e uma avalia??o bem sucedida dessa habilidade possa indicar aos professores e aos profissionais da ?rea eventuais dificuldades dos escolares nesse aprendizado, constata-se que o Brasil carece de uma reflex?o sobre os instrumentos que j? existem, sobretudo, de um trabalho que apresente evid?ncias de validade e os ?ndices de converg?ncia entre os instrumentos. H? estudos que indicam evid?ncias de validade entre o RACF e a PCFO, entretanto essas an?lises n?o contemplam o CONFIAS. Eis onde se inscreve o presente estudo, pois adicionamos ?s an?lises de validade j? existentes entre os dois instrumentos (RACF e PCFO) a evid?ncia de validade do CONFIAS, e verificamos se haveria validade de crit?rio nos tr?s instrumentos e de converg?ncia entre os entre instrumentos (RACF, PCFO e CONFIAS). Participaram do estudo 131 crian?as, de ambos os sexos, entre 6 e 8 anos, frequentadoras do 1? ao 3? ano do Ensino Fundamental de uma escola municipal de Serop?dica ? RJ. Os resultados mostraram que h? validade de crit?rio concorrente nos tr?s instrumentos, tanto por ano escolar, tanto por habilidade de leitura, e validade convergente entre eles, sendo a rela??o de maior intensidade entre a PCFO e o CONFIAS. Verificamos que o instrumento mais f?cil e o mais dif?cil para nossa amostra, respectivamente, foi o RACF, que se mostrou um instrumento de rastreio e a PCFO, que se mostrou um instrumento que discrimina apenas os leitores habilidosos. Houve diferen?as entre os sexos somente no RACF e no subteste de identifica??o de rima do CONFIAS, nos quais as meninas apresentaram melhores resultados e todos os instrumentos discriminaram as crian?as por ano escolar e por idade. Al?m disso, o instrumento de avalia??o da Consci?ncia Fonol?gica que obteve melhor correla??o com a leitura foi a PCFO e os subtestes que melhor se correlacionaram com a leitura foram os fon?micos.
