Taxonomia e distribui??o do g?nero Cymadusa Savigny, 1816 (Crustacea: Amphipoda: Ampithoidae) para o Brasil

Four new species of Amphipoda belonging to the Family Ampithoidae Stebbing, 1899, are described from Brazil (Cear?, Esp?rito Santo and Rio de Janeiro states). The new described taxon s are grouped in the genus Cymadusa Savigny, 1816, since they present all the diagnostic characteristics of the genus. The examined material was collected by scuba divings in Icapu? Beach and Camocim Beach, Cear? State; Trindade Island, off theEsp?rito Santo State coast; and Turtle Beach and Shallow Beach, both in Arma??o dos B?zios, Rio de Janeiro State. The appendices and mouthparts from the holotypes and at least one paratype for each species were dissected, mounted in glycerin gel slides, illustrated and digitalized. In this work are presented full descriptions and diagnoses for all new described species. A table with diagnostic characteristcs for all new species of the genus Cymadusa was built based on exhaustive literary review, besides the inclusion of the four new species. Information about two previously described species in Brazil (C. peartae and C. filosa) is added. Two identification keys were built: one for all the species of the family Ampithoidae known from Brazil, and another one for all the species of Cymadusa known for the world. Based on more literary review and analysis of previously collected material, it was possible to extend the knowledge about Cymadusa filosa Savigny, 1816 distribution along the Brazilian coast and building georeferenced maps for that new distribution and for all the new species described in this work.
