Leitura e interpretação de textos no ENADE: o desempenho dos acadêmicos de letras e matemática da UFS–Ita na prova de formação geral

Resumo: | The Enade of 2014 dealt with the evaluation of degrees throughout the national territory. The Enade General Training test is part of 25% of its total, whose format includes 10 questions of General Education (interpretation of texts that circulate in society) and 30 questions of specific knowledge of each course. It is therefore a reading assessment, whose purpose is to verify how the future egress of Brazilian universities comprises the texts that circulate in society, published in newspapers, magazines and other media. In this sense, it has as object of investigation the evaluation of the degree of literacy of Brazilian university students. The work "Reading and interpretation of texts in Enade: the performance of the academics of Literature and Mathematics of the UFS-ITA in the General Training test" aims to correlate the performance of the graduating students of the aforementioned degrees in the General Training of Enade and the national performance of the academics of these two courses in this test, so that we have a more accurate diagnosis of reading and textual comprehension of our university students in the campus Professor Alberto Carvalho. In order to support our analysis, we present substantial elements of the Enade 2014 General Training test, highlighting the process of preparation (ordering items / questions), as well as the description and analysis of the content of the test questions and the national performance of the (Brazil, 2015), made available by Inep, in particular attention to the indices of ease and discrimination (bisserial point) of each question. We adopt as theoretical-methodological assumptions the concepts about literacy proposed by Kleiman (2005) in his book "Do I need to teach literacy? Is not enough teaching to read and write? ", By Oliveira, Tinoco and Santos (2014), in" Literacy projects and training of mother tongue teachers "by Leffa (1996), in" Aspects of reading: A psycholinguistic perspective " , in addition to the proposals of Scliar-Cabral (2009) in "Phonological awareness and the principles of the Brazilian Portuguese alphabetical system". The results show that, in Brazil, the reading performance of undergraduate students is among the worst. And, at UFSITA, the mathematics students presented inferior performance in relation to those of the Literature course, failing to reach, in most questions, the minimum expected average, in addition to obtaining, on most questions, inferior results to those achieved by their course at national level. |

A prova de Formação Geral do Enade é parte de 25% de seu total, cujo formato abarca 10 questões de Formação Geral (interpretação de textos que circulam na sociedade) e 30 questões de conhecimento específico de cada curso. Trata, portanto, de uma avaliação de leitura, cujo propósito reside em verificar de que modo o futuro egresso das universidades brasileiras compreende os textos que circulam na sociedade, veiculados em jornais, revistas e nas demais mídias. Neste sentido, ela tem como objeto de investigação a avaliação do grau de letramento dos universitários brasileiros. O trabalho ?Leitura e interpretação de textos no Enade: o desempenho dos acadêmicos de Letras e Matemática da UFS–ITA na prova de Formação Geral? tem como propósito a correlação entre o desempenho dos alunos concluintes das referidas licenciaturas na prova de Formação Geral do Enade e o desempenho nacional dos acadêmicos destes dois cursos na referida prova, para que tenhamos um diagnóstico mais preciso sobre leitura e compreensão textual de nossos universitários no campus Professor Alberto Carvalho. Para sustentar nossa análise, apresentamos elementos substanciais da prova de Formação Geral do Enade 2014, ressaltando o processo de elaboração (encomenda de itens/questões), bem como a descrição e a análise de conteúdo das questões da prova e o desempenho nacional dos cursistas das licenciaturas de Letras/Português e Matemática, com base no ?Relatório-Síntese de Formação Geral? (Brasil, 2014), disponibilizado pelo Inep, em especial atenção aos índices de facilidade e de discriminação (ponto bisserial) de cada questão. Adotamos como pressupostos teórico-metodológicos os conceitos acerca de letramento propostos por Kleiman (2005) em seu livro ?Preciso ensinar o letramento? Não basta ensinar a ler e escrever??, por Oliveira, Tinoco e Santos (2014), em ?Projetos de letramento e formação de professores de língua materna?, por Leffa (1996), em ?Aspectos da leitura: Uma perspectiva psicolinguística?, além das propostas de Scliar-Cabral (2009) em ?Consciência fonológica e os princípios do sistema alfabético do português do Brasil? . Os resultados evidenciam que, no Brasil, o desempenho em leitura dos universitários das licenciaturas está entre os piores.
