In this heuristically conducted research, I deal with concepts, methods, techniques and theories of archeology to show how fruitful the application of such can be in the forensic context of the state of Sergipe, Brazil. The research is based on the theoretical-methodological textual construction that has been developed since the beginning of this first quarter of the 21st century (see archeologies of the contemporary and recent past, and repression and resistance), as well as articles and books written by professional archaeologists who works with methods and techniques of archaeological excavation in crime scenes. The key themes that underlie and justify the final proposal have their sources from data on violence, inequality, and missing people. Moreover, the argumentative core revolves around the nucleus of possibilities engendered through thematic intersections intrinsically related to archaeological inquiry when the approach is now, spatial- and temporally, with the purpose of giving basic parameters for the exhumation of bodies in clandestine graves.
