Resumo: We can say that comics are part of a specific historical and social context and are produced by situated historical subjects, and thus collaborate with the values that permeate a certain society. Therefore, we must always make a critical reading of the comics, analyzing them as language and always taking into account the discourses, whether hegemonic or not, inherent there. Thus, since HQ is one of the main products of the Cultural Industry and a privileged space of non-verbal communication, it becomes a rich reference for the construction of the image of women, which often ends up reifying the female body and sexuality in order to satisfy The male gender. It is also important to remember that the female comic characters have long been idealized by men and for men, according to their discourse about what it is to be a woman, building their bodies according to masculine expectations. Thus, the research proposed here has the interest of studying discourses related to the body and female sexuality present in the comics. For this, the work will first deal with the process of constructing the body of the woman as a sexual and market object through the masculine look and discourse. Then, taking into consideration that the HQ is an element of the Cultural Industry, it will be treated as a device of the "biopower" for the control of the sexuality and the body of the woman. And, finally, there will be the analysis of the discourses, especially the imagery, related to the body and the female sexuality, both those present in the comics produced by men as well as by women.
