Resumo: This research aimed to evaluate the conservation status, physico-chemical composition of water and streams of bioindicators saw Itabaiana within the Parque Nacional Serra de Itabaiana in order to contribute to the management plan and management of local water resources. The study was divided into three stages: the first application of protocol for rapid assessment, this assessment of the physical environment in streams showed that the 163 points assessed 91% are in their natural state, 8% and 1% change impacted. The agricultural activities and irrigation characterized the environmental impacts that directly affect the balance of streams, especially the red and coconut-cold water. The second step was concerning the physico-chemical (pH, conductivity, OF, OD, Salt, TDS, nitrogen and phosphorus) were carried out in two seasons: winter (June) and summer (September), with measurements made with the multiparameter HI9828 Hanna and water sampling for analysis of nitrogen and phosphorus processed by ITPS-SE. The parameters were below the resolution allowed by the current, not evidencing trophic changes. Simultaneously to this stage of macroinvertebrates were collected with a Surber to verify the distribution and abundance of organisms. Screening, storage and identification of macroinvertebrates were performed at the Laboratório de Biologia da Conservação (UFS-São Cristovão). We sampled macroinvertebrates 5389 morphotype distributed in 50 families. The order Diptera were dominant in abundance and number of families, among families Chironomidae showed 41.88% of subjects (n = 2260). The Coqueiro had the highest abundance of organisms (n = 1304) and the lower Agua Fria (n = 622). During the dry season there was a greater diversity and abundance of organisms in relation to the rainy season. The Coqueiro and Agua Fria rivers showed the highest similarity indices 0.98, and the segments and coqagfria negverm 0.86 less similarity in biotic structure. The diversity indices ranged from 1.7 to 2.1 (nats.indiv.), And the segments coqagfria negverm had the lowest and highest levels of diversity. The frequency of EPT segment was 0.16% in coconut water, cold 0.22%, 0.13% black, red 0.21%, 0.14% and 0.26 coqagfria negverm%. In the evaluation of 3489 was obtained FFG-collectors scavengers (65%) were distributed in 8 rates while fragmenting on 6 rates (n = 50) of less than 1% of the composition of the segments. The streams within the UC showed favorable conditions for stability and resilience as a systemic environment in the segment coqagfria demonstrated changes in the structure of the biota. It is recommended that the data support the management plan and no studies that management activities in the conservation of water resources.
