Resumo: The present work is a historical compilation from official documents on the influence of the historical-religious movement called Apostolate of Prayer (AO), a spiritual movement, as a segment of the Catholic Church since the 16th century, in the city of Capela-SE. The actions of the main social and historical landmarks come from the inspiration of ideas and principles conceived by the AO, bringing with them the influences of the Catholic faith and its spiritual consequences of the Portuguese colonization in Sergipe. In addition to verifying the subjects involved in this devotional faith process.
