Revisão sistemática da Miconia Albicans (sw.) Triana : uso tradicional, atividade farmacológica e outras atividades

Resumo: Miconia albicans (SW.) Triana is a tree species, belonging to the family Melastomaceae, distributed mainly in tropical regions, abundant in the Brazilian flora, very common in the Cerrado, with reproduction by seeds. In this review we aimed to perform a critical synthesis of the studies that approached traditional use, toxicological activity and pharmacological activity. At the end of the selection process, 184 articles were collected, of which only 10 met the selection criteria listed by this review. The articles evaluated cytotoxic, pharmacological, genotoxic and mutagenic activity. In addition to the above, only two articles looked for isolated the compounds of Miconia albicans (SW.) Triana. In view of the results in the search process we can infer the need for further studies of this plant, given its pharmacological potential demonstrated in the studies and the promising possibility of developing phytotherapeutic drugs and medicinal products from medicinal plants.

Os artigos avaliavam a atividade citotóxica, farmacológica, genotóxica e mutagênica. Além do exposto, apenas dois artigos buscaram isolaram os compostos da Miconia albicans (SW.) Triana.
