Resumo: This review article aims to discuss and show the improvement models adapted to transport management around the world and also in Brazil. The first section of this paper briefly presents the works of various authors on transport. Sections 2 and 3 show, international works divided in sub-sections: public transportation in Taiwan, the role of integration, sustainable transport and examples of transport optimization; and national efforts. Section 4 discusses the findings regarding all the literature reviewed.
