Considering its social importance and for studies in Information Science, this work aims to present a state of the art of publications on social librarianship in Brazil in the last decade (2011-2021), presenting its main researchers, lines of research and amendments of the disciplines focused on this theme within librarianship courses at Brazilian federal universities. For this, the methodology used was the bibliographic and bibliometric survey in virtual databases, qualitative-quantitative analysis, with descriptive and exploratory objectives, characterized as a study of a basic nature. As a result, Jorge Santa Anna, Cátia Rejane Lindemann, Maria Elizabeth de Oliveira Costa, Cládice Nóbile Diniz and Marcos Pastana Santos were presented as the main researchers respectively, with Accessibility and Librarianship in general being the main lines of research adopted and identifying eight disciplines within the courses. whose area of research is social librarianship. Given this, the research shows that studies on social librarianship still lack further approaches, especially in field/case studies. This research did not intend to exhaust the studies on the subject, but to promote the subject in academic publications, emphasizing the importance of developing actions and projects of a social nature in the environment outside and inside libraries.
