Resumo: This text deals with the circulation of Protestant printed matters and other educational printed matters that circulated in Brazil during the first half of the 19th century, through the action of the Britsh and Foreign Bible Society, other book distributors and, specially, the American Bible Society/ABS, allowing an apprehension of the Protestant press and educational printed matters and their relationship with the History of Education. In addition to investigating its circulation, the books destined to the formation and use of Protestant groups and pedagogical readings organized a corpus of knowledge represented as necessary for the definitive insertion of Protestantism and school education in Brazil were selected as an object of analysis. The research has made it possible to find the organization of a true network for the publication, sale and distribution of Protestant and pedagogical publications in the Brazilian territory.
