Resumo: High school is an important stage in the student's basic education, as a teacher who has been teaching mathematics for over fifteen (15) years, concerns such as questions about applicability, learning difficulties and lack of prior knowledge related to geometry guide the desire to evaluate the contributions that a Potentially Significant Teaching Unit, using the flipped classroom, can provide in the teaching and learning process of Polyhedra. For this purpose, we base this study on the Theory of Meaningful Learning (TAS), which argues that there are two necessary conditions for meaningful learning: the student's predisposition to learn and potentially meaningful learning material. Thus guiding the development and application of Potentially Significant Teaching Units with a focus on non-mechanical learning. In the Inverted Classroom methodology and the teaching of geometry according to the documents that guide Brazilian education. This study was developed based on the principles of qualitative research and is characterized as a case study. The application took place in a full-time school in the state of Sergipe, in a second-grade high school class composed of 30 students, in the first two months of 2023. The activities were divided into home and face-to-face moments. For extracurricular moments, we use the paddle for the construction of a photographic panel, YouTube to make the videos available, gamified activities elaborated in the world wall e questionnaires through Google Forms. The treatment of the data occurred from the Content Analysis of Laurence Bardin, specifically, through the categorization. The potentially significant teaching unit of this dissertation presented important results with regard to learning, the benefits and challenges of the Potentially Significant Teaching Unit association with the flipped classroom. They show that it was a successful experience in terms of learning Polyhedrons, and the teaching experience was satisfactory, according to the students.
