Os parasitas : a tradição luciânica na crônica machadiana

Our work seeks the study of the tradition luciânica in the chronicles of Machado de Assis. With regard to this tradition, we took as base the studies of Brandão (2001) and of Sá Rego (1989). With respect to the chronicle machadiana, we used the study of Brayner (1982). As for the relationships intertextual they were seen to the light of the writings of Sant'Anna (2007). Besides, the comic aspects and the engendered senses were observed with base in the theoretical studies of Bergson (2007), Freud (1977), Jolles (1976), Minois (2003). We centered our research in which type of textual relationship the chronicle "O Parasita I", of Machado de Assis, establishes with the dialogue O Parasita, of Luciano de Samósata. It is known that the parody is an own resource of the tradition luciânica, and in this case, Machado retakes the tradition doubly: through the characteristics of the lucianismo and of the incorporation of the speech ficcional of Luciano to yours. Therefore, it not establishes a parody, but a stylization, enlarging the discussion concerning the parasitism. We also pointed the senses engendered by our corpus.
