The present study presents an analysis on the flow of recyclable materials developed by the Plastics Plant of Sergipe - CPSLTDA, in Nossa Senhora do Socorro / SE. The study was based on the premise that recycling companies are indispensable for society, as they reuse large part of industrialized products to produce new products generating new income, a new market. In Sergipe, recycling is still underdeveloped and the companies that develop it face different challenges and difficulties, as they depend on the raw material. In order to investigate the recycling of plastic materials, this work verified how the materials are obtained, what are the methods, processes, the collection points of material and the techniques for recycling. The methodological procedure corresponded to a case study. The research is characterized as exploratory and descriptive being still qualitative. Observations were made on the procedures in the company, namely the process of collecting and processing the materials obtained for recycling, in order to achieve general and specific objectives. Photographic registration and semi-structured interviews were also used with the company manager. As a result it was observed that the type of recycling used by the company is the mechanics, the materials being clean, selected and passed to the other stages: grinding, through the agglutinator, then to the extruder, granulator and received in the bagger, and then, intended for sale. Among the problems with the greatest impact on the flow of materials were: company-supplier relationship, problems in negotiation and supplier loyalty (scrap yard) to the company, lack of strategic planning and inventory control model and lack of investment marketing strategies
