Resumo: The forage palm presents strategic importance as a food support for use in livestock in the Brazilian semiarid region, a guarantee of animal sustenance in periods of drought. The adaptation of its metabolism to the environment is a way to ensure the necessary water level in the plant and favor its growth. The different species of palm constituents in the area of the experiment (Miúda, OEM and Baiana), located in the sewage treatment plant in Nossa Senhora das Dores, provided real results, where parameters such as plant height, considering in the palm the highest point of the plant, width of the plant, considering the extremities, and productivity, considering the cutting of the mother plant, were evaluated. The spacing used was in a double row system, with a density of 20,000 plants, the experiment consisted of four randomized blocks, arranged in different places, being divided into irrigated, dried, fertilized and unfertilized, where each area corresponds to 0.3 ha, treated wastewater was used for irrigation, using drip irrigation system assigning a weekly frequency, With the exception of rainy periods, because at that time the need for water is guaranteed naturally. Irrigation is very important, because it increases the productivity per area of the different palm species, and wastewater is a viable alternative present in the experiment, contributing positively, supplying the need for forage palm and ensuring unique performance of the different species, where according to the data obtained showed in the irrigated area that the height of the plant was higher, highlighting the importance of balancing the water needs of the crop. Tukey's test was applied, where the significance level of 5% was applied, observing that the different palm species presented their advantages in their development, the miuda obtained greater plant width and the Mexican Elephant Ear (MOU), for presenting higher plant height and higher productivity.

A adaptação de seu metabolismo ao ambiente é uma forma de garantir o nível de água necessário na planta e favorecer seu crescimento. As diferentes espécies de palma constituintes na área do experimento (Miúda, OEM e Baiana), localizadas na estação de tratamento de esgoto em Nossa Senhora das Dores, forneceram resultados reais, onde foi avaliado parâmetros como, altura de planta, considerando na palma o ponto mais alto da planta; largura da planta, considerando as extremidades; e produtividade, considerando o corte da planta-mãe. O espaçamento utilizado foi em sistema de fileira dupla, com densidade de 20.000 plantas, o experimento constou de quatro blocos ao acaso, dispostos em locais diferentes, sendo divididos em irrigados, sequeiro, adubados e não adubados, onde cada área corresponde a 0,3 ha, utilizou-se água residuária tratada para irrigação, utilizando-se sistema de irrigação por gotejamento atribuindo-se uma frequência semanal, com exceção dos períodos chuvosos, porque nesse momento a necessidade de água é garantida naturalmente. A irrigação é muito importante, pois aumenta a produtividade por área das diferentes espécies de palma, sendo a água residuária uma alternativa viável presente no experimento, contribuindo positivamente, suprindo a necessidade de palma forrageira e garantindo desempenho único das diferentes espécies, onde, de acordo com os dados obtidos, mostrou na área irrigada que a altura da planta foi maior, destacando a importância de equilibrar as necessidades hídricas da cultura.
