Práticas de neutralização de gênero/linguagem inclusiva em enunciados do grupo PET Educação Conexão de Saberes

The object of the research presented here is the use of neutral/inclusive language in Brazilian Portuguese, based on proposals for the neutralization of grammatical gender that, on the one hand, refuse the use of the masculine as a generalizing form and, on the other hand, combat binarism in the language. With the general objective of systematizing a reflection on the ways in which these proposals are evaluated, received, and implemented in concrete enunciative practices, the work focuses on a corpus consisting of statements from the group PET Education – Knowledges Connection (The Tutorial Education Program, interdisciplinary, linked to the Department of Education at UFS, Campus Itabaiana) in captions on its Instagram profile @pet.educacao. Theoretically, were taken as references for the discussion about the grammatical gender Câmara Jr. propositions (1970), Traditional Grammar positions (BECHARA, 2019), and contributions from linguistic studies, such as, among others, by Pessoto (2019), Schwindt (2020) and Carvalho (2020). As one of the results of the research, it can be pointed out that the proposals for inclusive language/gender neutralization, although controversial, have gained space in society, being adopted in some enunciative practices and interaction processes. However, according to the analysis carried out in the PET Education statements, it is clear that the concrete application of these proposals does not occur without inconsistencies and contradictions.
