The present study has the theme Sexual Orientation and Adolescents. This is a qualitative and exploratory study, whose reference was the Barão de Mauá College of the public school network of Aracaju-SE. The main objective was to identify how the school can constitute one of the means of accessing information on adolescent sexuality. The topic is complex since talking about sexuality involves the subjectivity of the people and the orientation in the school environment involves social, cultural factors and the professional skills to be effective. The analysis of the data and the bibliographic path of the research are based on references that provide a critical perspective of reality. This research had as an instrument of data collection a questionnaire composed with open questions, applied to the regular high school students of the featured unit. The data collected through observation and questionnaires were of great relevance to the study's conclusions and pointed to the fact that the transversality of sexual orientation is not addressed in the school environment, focusing only on questions about human reproduction (genital apparatus Male and female, contraceptive methods, STDs) in general, in biology classes. However, it is considered very important to bring current discussions on cross-cutting themes to the classroom universe, which involve sexuality, gender, homosexuality, rights, struggles, achievements of LGBT groups in the world, Brazil and Sergipe. The importance of sexual orientation in the school environment is perceived as an additional tool for the dialogue and reflection in the adolescents of the students about their sexuality, so outlined at this stage.
