This study presents a discussion on how digital curation has been gaining prominence in the field of information science, aligning the importance and need for digital management and preservation for access to information over time, which represents a challenge as the data volume and complexity increase and technology obsolescence grows. As a result, scientific production on the subject grows in several areas, with the aim of understanding its concept and implementation in institutions. Therefore, this research was conducted out with the objective of mapping the knowledge produced on Digital Curation at BRAPCI from 2010 to 2020, in order to understand the panorama of Digital Curation in this period and in Information Science. As specific objectives, it is proposed to present a visual representation of the most discussed terms in the research corpus, aiming to identify the most frequent themes related to digital curation, identify the methodological nature of the selected works and point out the contributions of research to the evolution of the theme in the field. Regarding the methodological aspects, bibliographic, exploratory and descriptive research was adopted, with a quali-quantitative approach, based on the State of Knowledge methodology proposed by Morosini (2015). Data were collected through observation in the BRAPCI database, with a final sample of 45 articles for analysis. As a result, it was possible to observe that digital curation has been widely discussed in Information Science linked to the need for management and digital preservation of scientific and institutional data. It is noteworthy that the discussions on the subject stem from the importance and emergency that society/institutions have in curing and preserving their digital memory for use and reuse in the present and in the future. Through the results of this study, it is observed that the interdisciplinarity of digital curation opens new paths for research in information science, mainly around issues such as the necessary training for PI performance, the importance of contextualization and descriptive representation of data and the development of CD policies and standards. Finally, it is expected that the production of this work will facilitate access to knowledge already produced on the subject and raise new questions about digital curation in the scientific environment.
