The present work aims to analyze the representation of women in Jornal das Moças, in the 1950s, a period called "golden years". The geographic area of the research will be Rio de Janeiro, headquarters and place of greater circulation of the periodical. This work will address the changes that characterized the 1950s as "golden years", the main events that rocked Rio de Janeiro and the importance of the image of radio, movies, and beauty contests artists in the women's imagination of that period. A survey of the history of the foundation of Jornal das Moças, its founders, the characteristics of the magazine and its collaborators will be carried out. An analysis of the columns, sections, illustrations and tests of the magazine will also be carried out, seeking to know the ideal woman, considered "feminine" and represented in the pages of Jornal das Moças. Once this is done, it will be sought to understand what this idealized image meant about society at the time
