Presents an article entitled “Bibliometric survey of the production on Comic Books by Brazilian researchers in Information Science”. Its main objective is to identify the elements that make up the language of comic books, characterizing it as an object of academic research in Information Science. As for the specific objectives, the research presents the main researchers of Information Science dedicated to research on Comics. Regarding the methodology, it has a basic and quantitative nature, characterized by the bibliometric statistical survey with a survey on technicalscientific production of the selected authors. The discussion of the results presented verified the application of the preferred concepts and how they are disseminated when comic books are used as an object of research. Thus, we believe that the proposed objectives have been achieved, and we can infer that the HQ used as a source of information contributes to the generation and dissemination of information and knowledge. It is also worth mentioning that the specialized literature regarding Comics and Information Sources, simultaneously, remains very scarce
