Resumo: | The general objective of this work was to understand the perceptions of the consultants about the requirements to operate in the market, in Aracaju - SE. To do this, it was necessary to identify the requirements necessary to act as a consultant, to analyze the educational and professional trajectory of the consultant and, finally, to identify the requirements of the labor market in relation to the consultant. Regarding the data collection, the questionnaire was applied to 12 consultants, who work in the city of Aracaju - SE. The study revealed that these consultants are all trained and specialized. Most of them provide consultancies in specific areas of organizations and that most of them have been in this market for more than 10 years. Skills such as good communication, analytical skills, ability to elaborate new scenarios, ability to implement changes, in-depth knowledge, practical experience, business intelligence, managing time, knowing how to deal with change resistance, working with human resources, working with consolidated values and know how to handle information, are extremely necessary for performance in the consultant's performance. The conclusion to which consultants have been increasingly required by organizations. However, this demand have been accompanied by a range of requirements in relation to its competencies and to meet these demands, it is necessary that the consultant is always able to go beyond what the market demands, always seeking constant improvement. |

Para isso, foi necessário identificar os requisitos necessários para atuar como consultor, analisar a trajetória educacional e profissional do consultor e, por fim, identificar as exigências do mercado de trabalho em relação ao consultor. Quanto a coleta de dados, foi aplicado questionário a 12 consultores que atuam na cidade de Aracaju – SE. O estudo revelou que esses consultores são todos formados e especializados. A maioria deles prestam consultorias em áreas específicas das organizações e que a maior parte deles já estão neste mercado a mais de 10 anos. Competências como, boa comunicação, capacidade analítica, capacidade de elaborar novos cenários, capacidade de implementar mudanças, conhecimento aprofundado, experiência prática, inteligência empresarial, saber administrar o tempo, saber lidar com resistência a mudanças, saber trabalhar recursos humanos, trabalhar valores consolidados e saber tratar a informação, são extremamente necessárias para o desempenho na atuação do consultor. A conclusão a que se chegou é que os consultores têm sido cada vez mais requisitados pelas organizações.
