Festividades à Nossa Senhora da Conceição do Mosqueiro : uma interface entre história, esquecimento e memória

Resumo: The theme of this article is about the understanding of the practices of popular religiosity in the festivities alluding to Nossa Senhora da Conceição do Mosqueiro, the most prominent party for the Catholic community of the neighborhood, given that the popular manifestations of worship are fertile fields for historiographical research, highlighting for the contributions made to the construction of the societies around it. However, for this to happen, it is necessary to build parallels between popular religiosity and the Romanization policy of the Catholic Church in Brazil, justified by the importance of preserving memory and valuing cultural heritage about the origins of the festivities in Brazil. honor to Our Lady in the Mosqueiro. Furthermore, it is prominent to present the Marian face of Catholic Christianity in the country as a historical context, especially in the devotion to the Immaculate Conception, inherited from Portugal. This work was anchored in memorialistic analyzes of agents of local history, since there are almost no records dealing with the theme. By establishing discussions of the religiosity of the people of Mosqueiro, it is possible to record them to strengthen their memorial and affective bond, in addition to giving greater (re)knowledge to the community. To reach the points described, bibliographies were confronted that present questions related to the central theme, concluding that popular religious practices were combined with the process of Romanization of the Church in Brazil

No entanto, para que isso acontecesse, foi necessária a construção de paralelos entre a religiosidade popular e a política de romanização da Igreja Católica no Brasil, justificando-se pela importância da preservação da memória e da valorização do patrimônio cultural acerca das origens dos festejos em honra à Nossa Senhora no Mosqueiro. Ademais, é proeminente apresentar a face mariana do cristianismo católico no país como contexto histórico, principalmente na devoção à Imaculada Conceição, herdada de Portugal. Este trabalho foi ancorado em análises memorialísticas de agentes da história local, já que são quase inexistentes registros que tratem a respeito da temática. Estabelecendo discussões da religiosidade do povo do Mosqueiro, é possível e registrá-las para fortalecimento do vínculo memorial e afetivo dele, além de dar maior (re)conhecimento à comunidade.
