Aplicação de métodos de controle de estoque no varejo supermercadista

The objective of this study was to demonstrate the applicability of stock control methods in a supermarket located in the Aracaju/SE metropolitan region. For this, the methods of curve ABC, swivel and inventory coverage were used, taking as reference the inventory control data for the first quarter of 2017. In the analysis of the ABC curve, it was observed that, in group A, only 20.75% of the items corresponded to 80.67% of total sales in the analyzed period. In group B, it was observed that 29.63% of items represented 13.10% of total sales, while in group C, 49.62% of merchandise accounted for only 6.23% of sales. With regard to turnover and inventory coverage, it was verified that the supermarket has a high quantity of items that are with their levels of stocks above the adequate, especially of the products that made up the group A. In this way, the excess of products in stock can directly influence the financial health of the supermarket
