A construção narrativa da trajetória de Eduardo Mondlane : colonialismo, nação e identidade

This work discusses about African Literature in Portuguese Language, specifically Mozambican literature, to observe the relationship: history, literature, ideia of nation and identity. Our basys was build on idea that it is a literature which born during a colonial period and for that received strongly marks from a context of struggles against Portuguese Domination. So, for our analysis we selected the short story "Maundlane: o criador", from the book As Andorinhas (2013) by Paulina Chiziane. For that were very important ideas of authors like Albert Memmi (1967), Edward Said (2011), Frantz Fanon (2008), Maria Fernanda Afonso (2004) and Russell G. Hamilton (1981). In this way, it was possible to understand how the historical character Eduardo Mondlane was buildt in this short story and to beyond it: his symbology in Mozambican society, in reason of his atuation during country’s emancipation. In addition, through Maundlane's trajectory we analyze elements of colonialism that are present in the narrative considering consequences of this condition on the Mozambican people.
