Penile cancer is a maligne neoplasia of urogenital system straight linked to local economic development and reveals fragilities of healthcare access and prevective measures. The main risk factors are poor hygiene and human papillomavirus (HPV). This one is associated to cellular alterations because of direct action of the vírus and the other one is related to inflamatory estimulation. Brazil shows alarming indexes, including some areas with values close to Sub-Saharian Africa. On the other hand, in developed countries this neoplasm is classified as a rare disease. Although does not presents high mortality taxes, penile cancer is a condition with serious psychosocial and bodily impacts. The fact of being a potentially avoidable neoplasm with simple measures shows failures in our preventive measures. Nowadays there are no specific prevenction policy. With the advent of the HPV vaccination in cancer of uterine cervix prevenction the possibility of this prevent another neoplasm related to HPV has surged. Despite the main objective was prevent cancer of uterine cervix, in 2017 Health Ministry approved boys vaccination against HPV, what has refforced questions about HPV role in penile cancer prevention. From 103 articles review, this study observed that vaccination has an important role in penile cancer prevention.
