Resumo: Higher Education in Brazil has undergome amny reforms to this day. In order to understand the current contexto, this study aims to reflect and highlight the historical-evolucionary process of Higher Education in Brazil, contextualizing the main events, in addition to demonstrating the importance of universities in social transformation and its implications. The research has a bibliographic and descriptive nature with a qualitative approch. It is concluded that the historical analysis of Higher Education in Brazil for the understanding of government policies currently Applied is extremely importante, as it allows us to state that the growth of university access poses some qualitative challenges in the lives of students.

A pesquisa possui cunho bibliográfico e descritivo com abordagem qualitativa.
