Membranas de alginato de sódio e fibroína de seda dopadas com nanopartículas de prata : preparação e caracterização

Resumo: Injuries caused by burns worry doctors due to the infectious process that occurs at the site. Thus, eco-friendly materials for use in the area have been studied, such as sodium alginate (ALG) and silk fibroin (FS) that allow doping with silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), accelerating the skin healing process. Thus, this work aimed to produce and characterize membranes of ALG and FS doped with AgNPs for the treatment of burns, in the proportions ALG/FS 100:0, 90/10 and 75/25 without AgNPs and with 2.5 and 5% (%v) of AgNPs. The morphology of the membranes produced changed with the increase in the percentage of FS and also with the addition of AgNPs. The thermal stability of the membranes was not significantly altered with the increase in the percentage of FS but there is a slight decrease in the degradation temperature of membranes doped with AgNPs, as an example AS membranes reduced around 31.25%, suggesting a catalytic effect of the nanoparticles. The values of (TVA) and (PVA) found are in the range of commercial dressings making them good candidates for skin dressings and preliminary bacterial growth inhibition tests indicate positive results for membranes doped with AgNPs, mainly in the higher percentage of AgNPs used in this work.

Assim, materiais eco-friendly para uso na área, vem sendo estudados como o alginato de sódio (ALG) e fibroína de seda (FS) que possibilitam a dopagem com nanopartículas de prata (AgNPs), acelerando o processo de cura da pele. Assim, o objetivo desse trabalho foi produzir e caracterizar membranas de ALG e FS dopados com AgNPs para tratamento de queimaduras, nas proporções ALG/FS 100:0, 90/10 e 75/25 sem AgNPs e com 2,5 e 5% (%v) de AgNPs. A morfologia das membranas produzidas mudou com o aumento da percentagem de FS e, também, com a adição de AgNPs. A estabilidade térmica das membranas não foi alterada significativamente com o aumento da percentagem de FS, mas há um ligeiro decréscimo da temperatura de degradação das membranas dopadas com AgNPs, como exemplo as membranas AS reduziram em torno de 31,25%, sugerindo um efeito catalítico das nanopartículas.
