Resumo: | It’s understood that architecture is present in cinema and that, combined with other cinematographic elements, it can be a powerful tool to the development of a film’s narrative, conveying to the viewer multiple meanings through its sets. Thus, this work aims to produce analyses of the filmic space of the movies Dogville (2003) and Rear Window (1954), selected for having contrasting spaces that instigate the viewer’s perception. To this end, this research first examines theoretical works about Architecture and Urbanism, about the role our senses play in our perception of architecture and also our perception of cinema and the participative process of the viewer in a movie. Therefore, this work brings elucidations of how architecture is built in cinema so it can be more than just a background for a film, instigating the viewer’s perception and evoking emotions onto them, turning the experience of watching a movie intoa participative one. |

Assim, o presente trabalho pretende produzir análises do espaço fílmico dos filmes Dogville (2003) e Janela Indiscreta (1954), selecionados por possuírem espaços tão contrastantes e que instigam a percepção do espectador. Para isso, a pesquisa, inicialmente, examina obras teóricas acerca da Arquitetura e Urbanismo, do papel de nossos sentidos na nossa percepção da arquitetura, assim como a percepção no cinema e o processo participativo do espectador no filme.
