Resumo: | The research called "The School Library as a Social Environment in Reader's Training" has as a social environment of observation the School Library, the theme of Reader Training, using the methodology of literary review, mainly verifying the influence of facilities, activities, cultural action and mediation of reading and training of readers. It works the importance of the School Library in the formation of critical readers and effective users of the information. In the course of the work, we also discuss specialized library products and services, cultural action and animation in School Libraries, as methods to bring the school community closer to this important environment for training readers. Explanation of the services that BE can offer the school community, besides addressing the UNESCO Manifesto for the School Library, during the course of the work the public policies, the laws that the State of Sergipe approved about the School Library were discussed. Parameters for the School Library. As main final considerations, the literature confirms that the absence or precariousness of School Libraries impairs the formation of reading habits and tastes within the school environment |

Trabalha a importância da Biblioteca Escolar na formação de leitores críticos e efetivos usuários da informação. No decorrer do trabalho também são discutidos os produtos e serviços biblioteconômicos especializados, a ação e animação cultural em Bibliotecas Escolares, como métodos para aproximar a comunidade escolar deste ambiente tão importante para formar leitores. Explana sobre os serviços que a BE pode oferecer a comunidade escolar, além de versar sobre o Manifesto UNESCO para a Biblioteca Escolar, no decorrer do trabalho foram discutidas as políticas públicas, as leis que o Estado de Sergipe aprovou sobre a Biblioteca Escolar, sendo ainda discutidos os Parâmetros para a Biblioteca Escolar.
