Over the years the number of elderly people is higher, as well as their participation in work activities. The fair is one of the work places where the elderly are exposed to high loads and inadequate postures, which increases the likelihood of presenting low back pain and worsening quality of life. Thus, its general objective is to evaluate the quality of life of elderly farmers. Twenty-five elderly men and women of both sexes participated in the study, which were evaluated through questionnaires that addressed socio-demographic aspects, quality of life, presence of low back pain and ergonomic risks. Among the results observed, the mean values of general quality of life; health assessment; physical, psychological, environmental and social domains were between 14.03 and 16.85 points. The majority presented chronic low back pain and high ergonomic risk. There was no correlation between pain and ergonomic risk variables. The profile of the sample was male, married, incomplete elementary school, income up to a minimum wage and previous profession of farmer. Thus, the elderly workers evaluated presented good quality of life, complaint of low back pain and high ergonomic risk, which calls attention to the need for intervention of Physical Therapy with the objective of promoting health for the public in question.
